Facial Trauma
Facial Trauma refers to any injury or damage to the face, which can involve the skin, bones, muscles, or tissues of the face. It can occur due to various causes, including accidents, falls, sports injuries, physical assaults, or violent events. This facial trauma can be classified into different types, such as Mandible Fracture (Fracture of Jaw), TMJ Disorder (TMD), Dental Injuries, Soft Tissue Injuries etc.
Common Signs:
- Deformity
- Numbness
- Pain & Swelling
- Difficulty Breathing
- Difficulty moving facial muscles etc.
Treatment Procedures:
- Intraoral Incisions- If the fracture is inside the mouth (Jaw Fractures), our expert may make incisions inside the mouth to avoid visible scarring.
- Extraoral Incisions- For fractures of the zygomatic bone, nasal bone, or upper jaw, our specialist may make small incisions along the natural creases of the skin to minimize visible scarring.
