Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure aimed at altering the shape or size of the nose for cosmetic or functional purposes. It is commonly referred to as a nose job. It can address a wide range of concerns, including aesthetic issues such as the size or shape of the nose, as well as functional issues, such as improving breathing problems caused by structural defects in the nose.
Types:
- Cosmetic Rhinoplasty- It changes the size of the nose by reducing a hump, narrowing the nostrils, or shortening the nose. This type of surgery corrects a crooked nose or refines the tip.
- Functional Rhinoplasty- It addresses structural issues that affect breathing, such as Deviated Septum, Nasal Valve Collapse, and Nasal Obstructions.
- Revision Rhinoplasty- It is aimed to correct or improve the results of a previous rhinoplasty. This may be done for cosmetic reasons or to fix breathing problems that arose from earlier surgery.
